Incident Response and Disaster Recovery plans¶
The Incidents area also stores or helps draft the district’s Incident Response Plan (IRP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP).
Use an existing plan¶
Upload an existing file or link to a plan already maintained in a district repository such as Google Docs.
Build a plan with Lumen¶
- Open the IRP or DRP builder.
- Choose a section, such as purpose and scope or team roles and responsibilities.
- Provide district-specific context about the environment, systems, people, and responsibilities.
- Have Lumen draft the section, then edit and approve the language.
- Save the section and continue iteratively, or generate the available sections together for a first-pass draft.
- Export the completed plan to PDF and follow the district’s approval and review process.
Resilience practice: Keep a current printed copy in an appropriate secure location. A network or identity outage may make the digital plan unavailable during the incident that requires it.
The video identifies annual plan-review reminders as future work planned for a later update; verify current availability before relying on automated reminders.
